Balussery entered the commercial capital of India, then Bombay, on 14th January 1958.

Situated at Veena Vihar Co-op Housing Society, Sion, East Mumbai 400 022, a central location with easy access to Sion/Matunga /Kings Circle and Koliwada stations and very close to Sion Bus Depot, it soon entered the heart of the people of ‘Aamchi Mumbai’’

Despite many hurdles and challenges, Balussery has withstood the test of time and standing before every one as someone put it, like “rock of Gibraltar”.

Till recently, headed by Sri M.V.S. Mani, a thorough chit professional, who joined as a whole time Director in 1974, the branch with his skill and support of a team of dedicated staff, has seen a steady growth. After the untimely death of Sri Mani, the reins are with his Son Mr. M.S. Rajagopal, who also goes by the name of Kaushik. He quit his career with Goldman Sachs, Australia to join the family business. He brings with him a young, vibrant flavor and international exposure to the financial trade. Recently, under his able leadership, the Mumbai office has started a 25 Lac chit plan for the first time, and we know, for sure, the going will be only North!
