    It was the time when the pioneers of chit funds from Balussery, a small town in the Kozhikode District of Kerala, ventured to Chennai to make a small beginning. However, their vision and ambition were far greater. And it is this vision, far ahead of its time, which built the brand Balusserys, and has forever become a household name.With a modest beginning, the Company over the years has grown manifold. Starting with a chit value of Rs 125/-, today it has touched Rs 30,00,000 (Rs 1,00,000 x 30 months) and this growth has been possible entirely on account of the implicit faith and trust of over 3 million Subscribers. The Net Owned Funds of the company is in excess of INR 90 Millions. It spread its wings to the other metros, New Delhi – 1954, Bangalore – 1957, Mumbai – 1958 and Kolkata – 1961 and all operations are computerized with a view to facilitate effective and fast service to its subscribers.Mr. M.V. Vaidyanathan, the senior most Director of Balussery Benefit Chit Fund, is heading the functions of Head Office and Chennai Branch. His experience spans over 45 years with the Company. With his business acumen and in depth involvement in the routine affairs of the Company, Balussery has reached the current level of heights. The mantra for success that he inherited from his family is “Customer satisfaction”

    He attributes the love and trust of the valued subscribers to the rich heritage of, maintaining Professional integrity, absolute financial discipline, meticulous screening of application to maintain quality clientele and prompt payment schedules, apart from a team of dedicated staff.

    Reminisces Vaithy, as he is popularly known, “it seems like just yesterday when they were kids toddling in with their parents, and now they are our third and fourth generation subscribers, and have continued the relationship started by their parents and grandparents!”

    Mr. Vaidyanathan is also known for maintaining very cordial and pleasing relations with his subscribers. He is the President of Chennai Chit Funds Association since the year 2000. He is also an Advisor in Tamil Nadu Chit Fund Companies Association and Governing Council Member in the All India Association of Chit Funds.
